Who are the vermin call gods? Where do gods come from?

They are bacteria and viruses.

They came from outer space.

They float in space just looking for another planet to infect.

They are invisible to the naked eye, they are like dust.

With every breath we take, our infection grows worse, that is why we grow old and die.

Yeah, I think it constitutes a valid hypothesis. It explains it well because the lack of sunlight and heat caused the plants to die. The herbivores that eat those plants die following that. The carnivores who ate the herbivores had a lack of food and then hunted eachother, slowly depleting their populations, posibly resulting in cannibalism as well. They eventually over a few decades kill themselves extinct. yeah, makes sense to me.
